Western SD Community Action has
an Individual Development Account (IDA) program that offers
matched-savings to low-income families committed to saving money. It
helps participants create a savings plan, open a savings account,
and helps with financial literacy classes that teach budgeting,
credit, and investment strategies.
The Dakota Dream Savings Fund will provide two dollars for
every one you deposit into a special savings account to help you:
• Attend Post Secondary School
• Buy a home
• Start a business.
You can save a maximum of $2000 and have an additional match of
$4000.
