Crew Lead

Primary Duties: Supervise all aspects of the work done by the crew. Provide guidance and training in all aspects of the technical work to bring all work to required standards. Complete required file documentation. Supervise the crew in terms of all other job-related time spent on the job including the compilation and submission of accurate time sheets in a timely manner and complete training documentation as required. Attend seminars, workshops, conference and/or other job-related training sessions assigned. Track and maintain CEUs as required by certifications and licenses. Communicate with supervisor any problems, client complaints, issues at the worksite and or complications requiring additional time on jobs. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: Two-year degree in related field plus four years related experience; OR High School diploma or GED plus six years related experience; OR any combination of the above. Valid South Dakota driver’s license with no major violations within the past three (3) years. Weatherization or blown in insulation experience preferred. Ability to lift 40lbs, stand/walk for long periods and bending and crouching in small areas. Construction Assistant

Program Associate in Pierre

The location will either be Pierre or Eagle Butte, SD, depending on applicant availability and qualifications. Interested in helping your community? Work with Community Action to help recruit volunteers and provide educational programs. This position is with the Senior Health Insurance and Information Exchange (SHIINE) program, which supports seniors with Medicare insurance programs and fraud awareness and support. Primary Duties: The position is based in Pierre, with travel throughout our Central South Dakota coverage area to help recruit and train volunteers and assist seniors with presentations and individual counseling. Qualifications: Experience with public presentations. Experience working with older adults. Strong data management skills. Ability to learn and communicate insurance plan information and options to clients. Ability to provide a secure environment to share sensitive client information. Experience working with and training volunteers. Ability to work with diverse audiences. Valid driver's license, clean driving record for the past three years and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided). Program Manager

Work with Community Action to help recruit volunteers and provide educational programs. This position is with the Senior Health Insurance and Information Exchange (SHIINE) program, which supports seniors with Medicare insurance programs and fraud awareness and support. Primary Duties: Provide coordination and oversight for the program, including three staff and several community volunteers. Enroll, enlist volunteers, and educate our community on the WSDCA programs, specifically the Senior Health Information & Insurance Education program (SHIINE). This position(s) will be based in Rapid City but will serve a 16-county service area of Western South Dakota CAP, with primary responsibilities in central South Dakota counties. 1. Coordinate staff and program efforts and collaboration with State and WSDCA. 2. Recruit volunteers to assist in program operations. 3. Plan and implement volunteer training in collaboration with State partners. 4. Participate in community engagement and outreach activities throughout the 16-county area, schedule and provide oversight to Program Associates and volunteers. 4. Assist in reviewing eligibility determinations for enrollment in each program. Data entry experience is required. Ability to type and use various computer programs. 5. Hold Medicare Education events throughout the service area. 6. Hold Medicare Enrollment events throughout the service area. 7. Attend training and staff meetings as assigned. 8. Maintain accurate and confidential files. 9. Other duties as needed. Qualifications: 1. Must be able to pass qualifying tests and receive certifications for department programs. 2. Supervisory experience and program management experience. 3. Demonstrated capacity in working with older adults. 4. Ability to use and input data into software associated with programs. 5. Ability to communicate with diverse audiences. 6. Experience working with low-income individuals/families. 7. Experience working with/coordinating volunteers. 8. Personal vehicle, insurance and clean driving record required. Work travel is reimbursed.
