Construction Program Manager

Develop work orders based on Home Assessments for limited-income seniors. Work with occupational therapists on home assessments to identify low-cost-and high-impact modifications that will reduce fall risks and help seniors stay in their homes longer. Identify materials and modifications needed per risk identified. Place orders as needed for supplies/equipment. Work with crews and contractors to ensure work meets specifications and codes. Maintain project records with inventory system, project management system and HUD systems. Work with Home Programs team on best practices in construction and client services. Assist with hiring, and training crew members. Qualifications: - Four years construction experience, with at least two years as a crew lead or foreman. - Strong computer skills, including experience with client management or project management software, email systems, spreadsheets and other productivity tools. - Experience writing project reports and summaries. - Customer service skills in scheduling, job specifications and process issues - Clean driving record, current driver’s license - Job will require frequent walking, climbing, reaching, sitting, pushing, kneeling and lifting up to 50lb. Preferred: - Experience working with nonprofits or government programs Pay range $24-$27/hr DOE Medical, dental, vision, retirement, life, etc. Full benefits!

Weatherization
Crew Lead

We are looking for an individual to join our Western South Dakota Community Action Family to be a crew lead for our Weatherization Department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction and be proficient in multiple trades. As a Crew Leader, you will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Join us and be part of a team that works actively in the community, improving the homes of those who sign up for our program! Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the crew on construction sites. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Oversee weatherization tasks, including but not limited to insulation installation, window and door sealing or replacement and duct sealing. Supervise all aspects of the work done by the crew. Providing guidance and training in all aspects of the technical work to bring all work to required standards Complete required file, training and other program documentation Attend seminars, workshops, conference and/or other job-related training sessions assigned. Track and maintain CEUs as required by certifications and licenses Communicate with supervisor any problems, client complaints, issues at the worksite and or complications requiring additional time on jobs Experience 2-year degree in a related field plus four (4) years related experience; Or High School Diploma, GED plus six (6) years of related experience; OR any combination of the above. Experience in weatherization and blown-in insulation preferred. Experience leading teams or managing projects is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required. Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and interact with clients or project managers. Valid South Dakota driver’s license with no major violations within the past three (3) years. Weatherization Construction Assistant

In this position, you will join a team that transforms homes of low-income households by weatherizing, improving air quality, and making homes safer for aging individuals. It's not just a job; it's a chance to make a positive impact in your community! Major Job Duties include but are not limited to: - Completing work orders as outlined on job specification sheets - Hanging doors, installing windows, adding insulation, grab bars, and more - Staging materials for jobs in our warehouse - Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean and safe work environment for you and your fellow crew members - Attending staff meetings and in-service training sessions - Other duties as assigned Qualifications - Experience in Construction or similar background – experience not necessary to apply - Ability to lift 40lbs, stand/walk for long periods, bending, crouching in small areas - Valid Driver’s license - Willingness to travel 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday Work Location: In person, working on homes in Rapid City and surrounding communities.
